Moroccan police have arrested a 50-year-old man from Antwerp who was wanted as part of an international investigation into drug trafficking via Sky ECC.

Law enforcement in the kingdom carried out the arrest of a Belgian national approximately thirty days ago in the country's economic metropolis. The man, aged around fifty and from the port city of Antwerp, operated under the criminal nicknames "Patatje" and "Samir Turtle".
The accusations against him concern principally the illicit trafficking of narcotics on a global scale, notably ecstasy pills. Evidence gathered also suggests he took part in human trafficking networks on Moroccan soil.
His name appears in numerous cases being investigated by courts in Antwerp and Brussels. These legal proceedings are closely linked to the Sky ECC investigation, a large-scale operation that enabled investigators to penetrate a secure messaging network and recover millions of messages exchanged between traffickers. On that occasion, numerous Moroccan nationals were identified and apprehended by police services.
Officially residing in Borsbeek, the fugitive had been evading justice for several years. He reportedly found refuge in Dubai before moving to Moroccan territory. On the Sky ECC platform, he operated under the identities "Dragon" and "Isaac Griffith".
