Security authorities conducted two parallel operations in the two Moroccan localities on Thursday 17 and Friday 18 July 2026. They resulted in the capture of two men linked to the clandestine trade in drugs and psychotropic medicines, according to the website fesnews.media.

In the first city, Khémisset, officers acted in coordination with the DGST. They apprehended a suspected trafficker who was carrying 1,948 psychotropic tablets, a supply of cannabis and an envelope of cash whose criminal origin is suspected.

In Salé, the second suspect was arrested with 1,028 assorted psychotropic tablets, a powder of cocaine weighing 50 grammes, nearly five hundred vials of inhalable solvent and two blades. An envelope of banknotes, apparently acquired through this trafficking, was also seized.

Now in custody, the two men are the subject of judicial investigation directed by magistrates in their jurisdiction. The investigations aim to clarify how the facts unfolded, to detect any possible connections with other groups and to find any possible instigators or accomplices.

These seizures are part of the sustained fight that the national police, alongside the DGST, are waging against drug trafficking circuits, with the objective of guaranteeing public peace and defending public health.
