Folk music performer Cristian Pomohaci remains behind bars, with the courts in Târgu Mureș confirming the measure of preventive custody for 30 days in both criminal cases opened against him.
In a first case, the man is being investigated for acts involving sexual assault. Mureș Tribunal rejected the objection filed by the defendant against the ruling of the local Court from 4 June, maintaining the decision to deprive him of liberty. The ruling is final, according to a statement from the court issued Thursday.
In parallel, Târgu Mureș Court of Appeal also maintained on Thursday, likewise with final effect, the arrest warrant issued in the second case, in which the artist is suspected of trafficking in high-risk narcotic substances.
The two investigations were initiated following raids carried out at the homes of the performer a week ago. Law enforcement discovered at that time approximately 20 grammes of 3-CMC psychoactive substance, as well as the equivalent of approximately two million euros in various currencies.
