ISU non-commissioned officer, perpetrator of a crime followed by suicide in Neamț county

A non-commissioned officer from ISU Neamț – Roman Fire Brigade Detachment killed his former partner on Sunday evening in the locality of Botești, Neamț county, after which he was found hanged, according to Google News RO — Crime (ro), citing stiripesurse.ro.

On 30 August, at approximately 22:35, a call to 112 reported that a young woman of 22 years was lying on the ground in front of a public establishment, with a stab wound to the neck, in an unconscious state. A medical team transported her urgently to the Emergency Reception Unit in Roman, where she died.

Images captured by surveillance cameras in the area allowed investigators to reconstruct the scene: whilst the woman was in front of the establishment where she worked, a vehicle stopped, a man got out, physically assaulted her, stabbed her, and then left the scene in the same vehicle.

The suspect, aged 25, was found later hanged from a tree on a street at the periphery of the locality of Pildești, also in Neamț county, showing no vital signs. The man was an active non-commissioned officer in ISU Neamț and the former partner of the victim.

At the scene, a research team from SIC Neamț, Neamț Forensic Service, BIC Roman and Roman Forensic Office intervened. The investigation was taken over by a military prosecutor from the Office of the Military Court Iași.
