Police arrest suspect in sexual assault in Koper area
On Friday evening, police officers in Primorska deprived one person of their liberty who is suspected of committing a criminal offence against sexual integrity. Officers were notified of the case shortly before 21:30.
Immediately after receiving the report, detectives and uniformed police officers initiated numerous activities. The aim of their work was to investigate all aspects of the incident and gather as much relevant information as possible. As part of the investigation, one man was arrested and deprived of his liberty.
Details of the incident itself currently remain confidential. Koper police headquarters explained that there are two reasons for the limited public information: protection of the investigation process and safeguarding the personal data of those involved.
They further assured that the public would be informed of the results when this would be permitted and when disclosure would not jeopardise further proceedings.
