'Looksmaxxing' influencer Clavicular accused of raping teenager at Cape Cod home

Braden Peters, 20, the social media influencer known as Clavicular, has been charged with raping a 17-year-old girl at his family home in Chatham, Massachusetts, ctinsider.com reports. Peters — a former Sacred Heart University student from Connecticut — faces additional charges of administering a substance for sexual intercourse and procuring alcohol for a person under 21.

The alleged assault took place on 23 May 2025, at the Peters family home on Morris Island, a seaside property on the southeastern tip of Cape Cod, roughly 90 minutes from Boston.

What the police report says

According to the police report, the girl told investigators that Peters had contacted her through Instagram and paid her to appear in looksmaxxing videos. On the night of the alleged assault, Peters arranged a rideshare to bring her to the property. She told police she was greeted at the door by Peters' mother and grandmother before he led her to his bedroom, where he was streaming live on Twitch.

The report states Peters knew the girl was 17 but instructed her to tell his viewers she was 18. Vodka he gave her was presented as water. The girl told police she felt "peer-pressured" to drink and consumed what she described as "two, three shots, but it was like not really shots, it was more so like cups," becoming intoxicated.

After the stream ended, she told police she and Peters "began to make out" on the couch, at which point she was "really drunk." She said she fell asleep in Peters' bed and woke up to Peters raping her.

Arraignment scheduled, suspect not in custody

Peters is due to be arraigned in Massachusetts on 14 October. He is not currently in custody, according to the Associated Press. His lawyer, Jeff Neiman, told The New York Times that Peters is innocent but declined to comment further. A publicist for Peters did not respond to requests for comment.

Background: expelled from Sacred Heart, known for extreme methods

Peters grew up in New Jersey and currently lives in Florida. He began attending Sacred Heart University in Connecticut in 2024 but was expelled during his freshman year after campus police, acting on a tip from a looksmaxxing forum, found steroids in his dorm room, according to The Star.

Peters is a prominent but divisive figure in the online looksmaxxing community, where followers pursue physical self-improvement by extreme means. He has claimed to use a hammer to break bones in his face — a practice known as "bonesmashing" — so that they would regrow with sharper definition, and has spoken openly about using methamphetamine and testosterone.

Earlier lawsuit and additional allegations

The alleged Massachusetts assault was first disclosed in a civil lawsuit filed against Peters in Florida in April. An amended complaint filed in June describes the Chatham incident in further detail and also alleges that Peters injected the same girl with an unapproved fat-melting substance during a separate livestream held in Florida.
