Three men pleaded guilty Monday to felony gang assault at the Ulster County Court House in Kingston, New York, according to dailyfreeman.com, following a May 2025 attack that left a 24-year-old man from the Bronx with a broken jaw and permanent nerve damage.

Aalajah Deloatch-Williams, 20, Daivon Jackson-Ramirez, 24, and Le'Mar Thomas, 25, each pleaded guilty to the top count of gang assault in satisfaction of all charges. The three men are set to be sentenced on November 30 to three-and-a-half years in prison, followed by three years of post-release supervision.

A fourth suspect, Equan Davis, 27, remains at large. Ulster County Assistant District Attorney Victoria Lang said Davis likely fled to another state and that efforts to locate him are ongoing. Lang noted that Davis has "a lengthy history of domestic violence" and is the only one of the four accused to be affiliated with a known gang.

The attack took place at Sheehan Court in Kingston when the victim arrived to visit his girlfriend. Lang said the assault was triggered because the victim "didn't belong here," and that members of a group of nine individuals were "ordered to attack him for that reason." One of the attackers had a prior connection to the victim's girlfriend, Lang added.

The victim sustained serious injuries in the assault. His jaw was broken and required emergency surgery, during which metal plates were permanently affixed. "Those stay there forever," Lang said. He also suffered permanent nerve damage, which makes it difficult to speak, eat, or brush his teeth, and his jaw remains permanently asymmetrical.

The office of District Attorney Emmanuel Nneji said the three men were "accepting responsibility for their roles in the joint attack that left the victim with serious injuries and long term consequences."

Lang described the case as "exceptional" and noted that a jury was nearly seated before the defendants changed course. "We were minutes away from picking a jury," she said. "But one by one, they each caved and pleaded guilty to the top count of gang assault."

Lang thanked Kingston Police, the District Attorney's office, and emergency medical crews for their work in bringing the case to this point. The search for Davis continues.
