Two Syracuse men arrested in drug and weapons raid on Schiller Avenue

New York State Police and ATF agents arrested two men in Syracuse after a search warrant uncovered cocaine, methadone, and two loaded handguns.

Two Syracuse men are facing multiple felony charges after a joint law enforcement operation at a Schiller Avenue residence, fingerlakesdailynews.com reports.

New York State Police investigators executed the search warrant at approximately 5 a.m. on 15 May, following a month-long investigation carried out alongside agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.

The operation was conducted by members of the State Police Troop D Community Stabilization Unit, Special Operations Response Team, and Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team, supported by ATF agents. Authorities said both individuals inside the residence were arrested without incident.

During the search, officers recovered two loaded semi-automatic handguns, ammunition, more than four ounces of cocaine, liquid methadone, suboxone films and pills, narcotics packaging materials, and a digital scale bearing cocaine residue.

State Police charged Robert Jackson, 32, and Malcome Baker, 31, with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm, and criminal use of drug paraphernalia.

Jackson faces an additional charge of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree owing to a prior conviction.
