A man has been arrested in Sharjah after two sisters were found murdered in a residential apartment, following what authorities described as a dispute. Google News UAE — Sharjah/Ajman/RAK reports the case based on a statement issued by Sharjah Police on social media.
The suspect and both victims are nationals of Kazakhstan, Sharjah Police confirmed. A specialised team assembled evidence from the crime scene and tracked down the suspect in what the authority called "record time."
Brigadier Dr. Khalifa Balhai, Director of the Criminal Investigation Department at Sharjah Police, said investigations revealed the suspect was known to the sisters. He confessed to the crime after being confronted with the collected evidence.
The case has been referred to the Public Prosecution for further investigation, and legal proceedings against the suspect are under way.
