Spooner's Hill resident pleads guilty to burglary and theft at Black Rock Auto

Fidel Parris admitted to multiple burglary, theft and criminal damage charges before a Bridgetown magistrate. The case was adjourned to September 29.

Spooner's Hill man admits stealing lamb and auto parts days after leaving prison

Barbados Today reports that a Spooner's Hill man has pleaded guilty to a string of burglary, theft and criminal damage offences before the No. 2 District 'A' Magistrates' Court, having spent several months on remand ahead of the hearing.

Fidel Martino Germaine Parris, of Butler's Avenue, admitted to stealing two cases of lamb valued at $700 belonging to Kim Hamblin between October 18 and 19, 2025. He also admitted to damaging two doors belonging to Keisha Hamblin between October 31 and November 1 of that year.

In a separate incident on October 30 and 31, 2025, Parris entered the premises of Black Rock Auto as a trespasser and removed four batteries valued at $2,000 and a trolley valued at $1,300, both belonging to Kurt Hamblin. He additionally admitted to possessing apparatus fit for the misuse of cocaine on November 1, 2025.

Magistrate Manila Renee noted that all of the offences took place shortly after Parris had completed a three-month prison sentence. "You had just come out of prison. Why were you out stealing?" she asked him in court.

Parris told the magistrate: "That was the drugs, Ma'am. That's why I end up doing these things."

Renee adjourned the matter until September 29, when the facts are scheduled to be read into the record. Parris remains in custody at Dodds Prison.
