Stabbing death on Fairchild Street: 42-year-old Ivy man identified as victim

Ivy resident dies after Fairchild Street stabbing

Andre Jamal Harry, 42, of 1st Avenue, Ivy, St Michael, has been named as the man who died following a stabbing near the Vendors Market on Fairchild Street on Wednesday, Barbados Today reports.

According to the Barbados Police Service, preliminary investigations indicate that several men became involved in an altercation at around 9 a.m., during which Harry sustained stab wounds. He was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in a public service vehicle but later died from his injuries.

Police have confirmed that a person of interest is currently assisting with the investigation.
