Two Christ Church men plead not guilty to Glock pistol and ammunition charges

Christ Church men deny illegal firearm and ammunition offences

Two men from Christ Church have entered not guilty pleas to firearm and ammunition charges, Barbados Today reports, with the case headed to trial in September.

Xenico Oneal Moore, of Vauxhall, Christ Church, and Rashawn Jaier Kangal, of McClean's Gap, Silver Sands, Christ Church, each denied a charge of unlawfully possessing a Glock 17 Gen5 9mm Luger calibre semi-automatic pistol and 34 rounds of ammunition on 2 November 2024.

The two men were arraigned before Justice Laurie-Ann Smith-Bovell.

Moore additionally denied a separate charge of possessing 24 rounds of ammunition without a permit on the same date.

Justice Smith-Bovell adjourned the hearing and set the trial for 28 September. Acting Senior State Counsel Paul Prescod is prosecuting the case.
