Vincentian man pleads guilty to five theft charges, faces immigration review in Barbados

Vincentian national remanded after admitting to string of thefts in Christ Church

Immigration authorities are set to appear in District 'A' Magistrates' Court No. 2 later this month, Barbados Today reports, when a Vincentian man who has pleaded guilty to five theft charges returns for sentencing proceedings.

Romarl Kimron Curtney John, 32, of Thornbury Hill, Christ Church, admitted before Magistrate Manila Renee to stealing a total of $600 from Zap Inc. across four separate incidents — $110 on May 27, $100 on May 29, $190 on May 30, and $200 on June 1.

John also admitted that between May 26 and June 3 he stole a $10 Massy Card belonging to Massy Stores.

He was remanded to Dodds Prison following the hearing. His attorney, Iwan Cuffy-Sargeant, is representing him in the matter.

The case has been adjourned to September 29, when the facts are to be formally read before the court. Immigration authorities are expected to attend that session.
