Kingston Police have arrested a wanted 28-year-old following an extensive multi-unit investigation, thewhig.com reports.
The accused was wanted on two outstanding warrants linked to separate violent incidents and weapons offences that occurred in the Belle Park area. Officers spent several days searching before the Kingston Police Street Crime Unit located the individual on 3 September.
The operation drew on multiple branches of the Kingston Police service, including the patrol division, Emergency Response Unit (ERU), canine unit, and drone team. The Ottawa Police Service also provided assistance during the course of the investigation.
The 28-year-old has been charged and was held in custody pending a bail hearing. Kingston Police stated that no further details would be released, as the matter is now before the courts.
