The first incident occurred just after 11 p.m. Saturday on the 2500-block of McCallum Road in Abbotsford. Occupants of a dark-coloured SUV fired multiple shots at another vehicle, according to Abbotsford Police Department spokesperson Sgt. Paul Walker. No injuries were reported.

Shortly after the shooting, emergency services responded to a fully engulfed SUV fire on the 2400-block of Sunnyside Place. Walker said the major crime unit has taken over the investigation and is working to determine whether the fire is connected to the shooting. "Early indications suggest that this incident was targeted," Walker said.

The second shooting was reported at 4:30 a.m. Sunday near the 10600-block of 64th Avenue in Delta, close to the Highway 91 on-ramp. Delta Police Department spokesperson Staff Sgt. Mike Whiteley said a victim was found at the scene with a minor, non-life-threatening injury and was taken to hospital in stable condition.

Whiteley said police are searching for a grey Kia Forte that left the area before officers arrived. "Police believe this is an isolated incident with no ongoing risk to the public," he said.
