A 15-year-old girl from Paysandú was located in Campana, Buenos Aires, after two days missing. A 37-year-old man with dual nationality was detained.

Suspect linked to minor's family remains detained in Argentina
The National Police of Uruguay is analysing the hypothesis of human trafficking in the case of a 15-year-old adolescent from Paysandú, found in the Buenos Aires city of Campana after two days of disappearance, according to carasycaretas.com.uy.
The police chief of Paysandú, Alejandro Sánchez, confirmed at a press conference on Monday that human trafficking "is part of the lines of investigation". The suspect, a 37-year-old man with dual nationality, remains detained whilst Uruguayan authorities manage his extradition.
The detainee has resided in Argentina for four years, has relatives in Paysandú and maintains close ties with the minor's family, a factor that would explain his frequent border crossings to Uruguay.
The director of the National Police, José Azambuya, stated that the young woman is "in perfect condition" in Argentine territory, awaiting coordination of her permanent transfer to Uruguay.
When asked about the absence of records of the adolescent's border crossing, Azambuya noted: "There are situations that are being investigated, we cannot provide information on that matter. Once the investigation is concluded, if there are elements to review, they will be reviewed".
The location took place within the framework of cooperation between the police forces of Uruguay and Argentina, who acted in a coordinated manner from the beginning of the search. The operation culminated in a raid on a residence in Campana, in the vicinity of Buenos Aires, where Argentine officials entered the premises and carried out the arrest of the person involved.
