Knife attack in Santa Elena: 22-year-old in critical condition and two arrested
A 22-year-old man was found with serious knife wounds in the La Yegüita neighbourhood, Santa Elena. Two men aged 29 and 34 were arrested.

According to 9digital.com.ar, a 22-year-old man was found with serious knife wounds in a wooded area of the La Yegüita neighbourhood in Santa Elena on Friday, 9 October at approximately 15:00, near a waste dump in the sector.
The victim presented cuts in different parts of his body and was initially transferred to the local hospital. Given the severity of the injuries, doctors arranged his transfer to San Martín Hospital in Paraná, where he was admitted to the shock room in critical condition. According to the police report, once stabilised, the young man could be subjected to surgical intervention.
Within the investigation into attempted homicide, officers from the La Paz Departmental Headquarters arrested two men, aged 29 and 34, who were held in the cells of that police station.
The investigators also carried out a search at a residence in the La Yegüita neighbourhood where one of the detainees lives. During the procedure, they seized items of clothing with stains of a reddish substance compatible with blood, together with several knives.
In parallel, during a search of the location where the victim was found, police personnel recovered a mobile telephone believed to belong to the injured young man.
The investigation remains open to determine the exact circumstances of the attack and establish the degree of responsibility of those involved, as specified by the La Paz Departmental Headquarters.
