The Province of Buenos Aires is offering between 5 and 10 million pesos to anyone providing information that allows the location and arrest of Joel Sebastián Magallanes, 18 years old, a fugitive from justice charged with three homicides committed in the municipality of Tres de Febrero. The measure was promoted by the Prosecution for Juvenile Criminal Responsibility of the San Martín Judicial Department. The search extends throughout the Province of Buenos Aires. According to the official document, Magallanes was born on 13 August 2008 and his last known address was in the Ejército de los Andes neighbourhood, in Ciudadela, popularly known as Fuerte Apache.
The three incidents that motivated the charges
The case file links Magallanes with three fatal episodes that occurred in different locations in Tres de Febrero.
The first took place on 11 December 2025, around 23:40, at the entrance to a residence in the Ejército de los Andes neighbourhood. According to the resolution, Magallanes allegedly fired multiple shots at Víctor Fernando Carrizo, who died as a result of the attack.
The second incident occurred on 5 January 2026, around 15:30, at the intersection of Ángel Pini and 3 de Febrero, in the Villa Pineral neighbourhood. According to the document, Magallanes, together with Alexis Jonatan Correa Ramírez, allegedly attempted to rob the vehicle of Lucas Demetrio Leiva and the backpack of Gabriel Omar López. Multiple shots were fired during the incident and Leiva died as a result of the attack.
The third case is the homicide of Buenos Aires police officer Alan Fabián Molina, which occurred on 18 July 2026, around 08:40, in the vicinity of Barragán and Avenida Militar, in the Ejército de los Andes neighbourhood. Molina, 26 years old, belonged to the Community Outreach Police Force. According to the resolution, the officer attempted to identify Magallanes in that area; the young man allegedly fled and then concealed himself to shoot the police officer, causing his death.
Operation with 24 raids did not locate the suspect
Following Molina's murder, the Buenos Aires Police deployed an operation in the Ejército de los Andes neighbourhood with 24 raids aimed at locating the suspect. In those procedures four people were arrested and a further 16 were detained. Weapons, drugs, money and mobile phones were also seized, according to police information. Magallanes was not found and remains a fugitive.

The reward will be distributed according to the merit of the information provided and only to those who present themselves to the competent authorities. Anonymity is guaranteed by the Buenos Aires Ministry of Security.
