Arrest in Constitución closes the case on aggravated homicide
The Argentine Federal Police (PFA) detained a 36-year-old man nicknamed "El Oreja" on 11 September in the Buenos Aires neighbourhood of Constitución, who was the subject of an active arrest warrant for the homicide of another person. According to cadena3.com, his two accomplices were already previously incarcerated, meaning the arrest completes the roster of defendants in the case.
Surveillance operation on Constitución Street at 3,100
The detention was the result of a thorough analysis of the fugitive's movements. Officers managed to identify a stopping point at Constitución Street 3,100, in the City of Buenos Aires, where his presence was anticipated. Once the surveillance operation was deployed and the suspect's arrival confirmed, agents proceeded with his capture and transferred him to the police station to complete the necessary procedures.
The three defendants face charges classified as "Aggravated homicide through the use of firearms, through cruel intent and through the prearranged involvement of two or more persons". The case is under the jurisdiction of Oral Criminal Court No. 29, presided over by judge Rodolfo Gustavo Goerner.
The crime: a premeditated attack whilst the victim slept
The homicide that gave rise to the investigation occurred on 18 April 2025. The victim was at his residence with his partner and two friends when, at one point during the night, he fell asleep. It was then that his partner spoke with the other two men present about the physical violence and abuse he inflicted on her.
In what the investigation describes as a premeditated attack, the two men armed themselves with a carbine and a sharp object. Whilst the victim remained asleep, they began the assault: one stabbed him repeatedly, whilst the other fired at least three shots with the firearm. One of the projectiles struck the victim in the head and caused his death immediately.
