Four women linked to "Los Monos" arrested for drug sales near school in Rosario
The Federal Police arrested four women in the Las Flores neighbourhood of Rosario following an investigation into small-scale drug dealing linked to the "Los Monos" gang.

According to argentina.gob.ar, the Argentine Federal Police arrested four adult women in the Las Flores neighbourhood of Rosario, accused of trafficking narcotics in the vicinity of a public secondary technical school. The operation, which involved 72 officers and 15 police vehicles, was carried out following months of criminal intelligence coordinated by the Special Investigations Operational Unit Division (DUOIE) Rosario.
The investigation began in July of this year and determined the existence of at least six points for the collection, distribution and marketing of drugs located behind the educational establishment. The tasks were supervised by prosecutor César Pierantoni, of the Micro-trafficking Investigation Unit of the Public Prosecution Service of Rosario.
An additional element prompted judicial intervention: days before the operation, a white banner with threatening inscriptions directed at the governor of Santa Fe, Maximiliano Pullaro, was placed in front of the school. The message mentioned various people, including a drug trafficking leader detained at Penitentiary Complex No. 11 in Piñero, the partner of one of the arrested women.
With the evidence gathered, judge María Melania Carrara, of the Court of First Instance Judges of Judicial District No. 2 of Rosario, ordered ten search warrants to be executed. Federal officers from the divisions of Rosario, Santa Fe, Rafaela, Venado Tuerto and Paraná participated in the procedures, along with personnel from the Urban Operations Division for the Containment of Sports Activities (DOUCAD).
Among the items seized were 15.2 grammes of cocaine and 26.3 grammes of marijuana ready for distribution, a revolver, a 14-gauge shotgun, cartridges and ammunition, a knife, a motorcycle, mobile phones and notes of interest to the investigation.
The four detainees and the seized items were placed at the disposal of the courts for violation of Law 23.737. The case is related to prior investigations linked to "Los Monos", a drug trafficking gang with a historical presence in the city of Rosario.
