Drug sales point dismantled in Congreso: one detained and multiple substances seized

Federal operation dismantles drug dealing in Congreso neighbourhood
According to argentina.gob.ar, the Chemical Precursors and Emerging Drugs Division of the Federal Investigation Department (DFI) dismantled a drug sales point in the Buenos Aires neighbourhood of Congreso, following an investigation initiated in early in the year.
The case originated from inquiries into a suspicious residence located in the western area of the Buenos Aires conurbation. Field work, undercover surveillance and data analysis allowed the federal agents to verify that the same subject was using a second property in Buenos Aires City to trade in prohibited substances.
Federal Criminal and Correctional Court No. 2 of Morón, under the direction of Dr Ernesto Rodríguez and with the involvement of the Office No. 8 of Dr Ignacio Calvi, ordered the search of the premises. Agents entered the residence and arrested the occupant on the spot.
During the procedure, several doses of marijuana, ecstasy and ketamine were seized, in addition to seven disposable syringes, five mobile phones, a CPU, two precision scales, 235,860 Argentine pesos, 2,000 Chilean pesos, dollars and euros.
The detainee, 22 years old and Argentine national, was placed at the disposal of the magistrate for alleged infringement of the National Drug Law (23,737). The operation also received collaboration from staff of the Federal Operational Unit Division (DUOF) Morón.
