Family of young man murdered in Jáchal marches and demands removal of 17-year-old suspect
The family of Germán Galleguillo, stabbed fatally in Jáchal, marched to demand measures against the adolescent identified as the attacker, who remains at his residence.

March in Jáchal: Galleguillo's family demands that the minor identified as aggressor be removed
The family of Germán Ismael Galleguillo, the 24-year-old man who died after receiving four stab wounds in Jáchal, took to the streets this Tuesday to demand progress in the investigation, according to tiempodesanjuan.com. The protesters marched through the departmental plaza and its surroundings demanding concrete measures against the 17-year-old adolescent identified as the alleged attacker.
During a press conference, the relatives expressed their concern about the fact that the minor continues to reside a few blocks away from the victim's home. "I need them to take him away from here, he needs to be where he should be, because he can't be at home either," declared a family member, who also mentioned the fear of encountering the adolescent in public and concern for the safety of their other children.
"He was a loyal friend and he betrayed him"
One of the most impactful testimonies of the day came from a relative who described the prior relationship between Galleguillo and the young man identified for the crime. According to their account, the victim had offered the adolescent the opportunity to do occasional work to earn money. "He wanted to help him. He was a loyal friend and he betrayed him," they said when recalling that relationship.
The same relative questioned whether the attack was simply a spontaneous fight. In their testimony, they stated that Galleguillo suffered during the episode and asked that the circumstances in which he was injured be investigated in detail. They also recalled that the young man had gone out to work that night and that he leaves two small children.
Complaints about witnesses and medical care
The family also directed part of their complaints towards the investigation of the people who were present at the El Quirquincho establishment, on the outskirts of Villa Mercedes, where the attack occurred in the early hours of Thursday. According to what they stated at the conference, there were two men and two women at the location, and they demanded that all of them be summoned to testify and that what information they can provide be determined.
They also requested that what occurred during medical assistance be reconstructed. The relatives mentioned the personnel who intervened at the hospitals and noted that Galleguillo arrived conscious and was able to communicate with his family members before he died.
History of violence, according to the mother
During the conference, Galleguillo's mother questioned what she described as previous episodes of violence attributed to the adolescent. She stated that, to her knowledge, the minor had been involved in other previous conflicts, used weapons and assaulted people in his environment. Those statements form part of the family's complaint and do not, in themselves, constitute facts legally established in this case.
The family asked that the authorities consider those antecedents and that all the circumstances surrounding Galleguillo's death be clarified, including the possible responsibilities of those who may have had involvement in the moments before and after the attack.
The case in the hands of the Juvenile Judge
The case file came under the intervention of the Juvenile Judge of the Second Judicial Circuit. According to the information released after the crime, the adolescent identified as the alleged aggressor was detained initially and subsequently placed at his residence by order of the judicial authorities, a situation that Galleguillo's family openly rejects.
