Officers from the Federal Police, Rosario headquarters, began proceedings to locate the alleged kidnapping victim. The investigation allowed them to locate the man's vehicle parked in front of a supermarket in the city of Paraná, which unravelled the simulation.
The suspect was arrested at the scene. The authorities confirmed that the scheme had been organised by the accused himself, with no third-party participation in the extortion operation.
