A call to 911 alerted authorities to the presence of a man with severe injuries on the ground and the flight of a suspect. SAME doctors transported the victim urgently to Pirovano Hospital, where he died around noon due to severe internal bleeding.
Andueza worked as a boxing coach, physical trainer and personal trainer at the Sparring Center gymnasium, an establishment in the Almagro neighbourhood. He combined this activity with his profession as a publicist. On his social media he posted training routines, boxing videos and moments with those close to him.
The news of his death generated a wave of distress among his students and colleagues. "It is with great pain that we say goodbye to our coach. We will not forget you, Gonza. Rest in peace," posted the institutional account of the gym where he taught classes. His friends demanded swift clarification of the case on social media.
The investigation progressed rapidly following confirmation of the death. Police officers set up a search operation in the vicinity of the crime scene and managed to intercept a 25-year-old man in public. Upon searching the black backpack he was carrying, agents seized a mobile telephone, a Taurus Millennium pistol, three magazines and 34 usable cartridges of the same calibre. All items were made available to the courts for the corresponding ballistic tests.
City Police forensics experts collected evidence in Moldes and Aguilar square whilst the case remained in the hands of the intervening public prosecutor.
