Suspect surrenders after two days of intense search in Misiones

Radiosudamericana.com reported that Luciano Reinaldo, 19 years old, identified as the alleged perpetrator of the crime discovered on Wednesday in Posadas, surrendered on Friday at the Puerto Rico Police Station, where he was immediately detained.

The young man is one of two suspects involved in the investigation being handled by Instruction Court Three. The other is Damián C., 22 years old.

Since Wednesday night, various provincial security forces had been carrying out a major operation to locate him. Reinaldo ultimately chose to present himself voluntarily to the authorities two days after the search began.

Sources close to the investigation confirmed to newspaper El Territorio that Reinaldo will be transferred to the provincial capital to appear before Instruction Court Three, which is handling the case.

The crime came to light last Wednesday afternoon, when officers found a charred body inside the boot of a Volkswagen vehicle on a plot of land in Potrero Barrero, in an area near Paraje Nemesio Parma, on the outskirts of Posadas.

The body, pending confirmation through genetic testing, is believed to correspond to Guido Néstor Adriel Rippel, 20 years old. According to the investigation, Reinaldo would be the author of the gunshots that ended the young man's life before his body was set alight inside the vehicle.
