According to noticiasdelparana.com.ar, staff from Basail Police Station intercepted a white Toyota Hilux 4×4 double-cab pickup truck on Sunday at approximately 00:30 travelling along kilometre 947 of National Route No. 11, which carried an active seizure warrant issued by Argentina's Federal Police as part of a case classified as "Alleged Chattel Mortgage".

Officers on duty and from the External Service were carrying out prevention and person identification tasks when they stopped the vehicle. Three occupants were travelling on board: the driver, a 58-year-old man, and two companions aged 26 and 23.

When consulting the vehicle's data on the Ministry of Security (MINSEG) digital platforms and the Federal Police Communications System (SIFCOP), the agents verified the validity of the measure. Confirmation was also made with the Vehicle Theft Division.

The driver stated that he had recently purchased the pickup truck and claimed to be unaware of the legal situation affecting the vehicle.

Following the results of the operation, Investigation Criminal Prosecutor's Office No. 3 was notified, which ordered the three occupants to be notified as part of proceedings for "Alleged Harbouring". The three remain free.

The Toyota Hilux was seized and placed at the disposal of the intervening authority.
