In the Lower Austrian town of Nußdorf ob der Traisen, a young man became a victim himself whilst attempting to mediate a dispute. Officers from Traismauer Police Station are now searching for an unknown attacker.
The incident occurred on the night of 3 to 4 June at around 2 a.m. at an event venue. Two men got into a heated argument with two other people. A 19-year-old from the St. Pöltner Umland district, who had nothing to do with the conflict, wanted to defuse the situation.
He was then surprised from behind by the sought perpetrator. The unknown assailant delivered a punch to the back of his head and two further blows to the face. The attack caused the victim to lose a tooth and suffer a lacerated contusion.
Investigators are appealing to the public for assistance. Anyone who can provide information about the identity or whereabouts of the fugitive man is asked to contact Traismauer Police Station on 059133-3176-100. Anonymous information is also accepted.
