According to 5min.at, a 63-year-old cyclist was attacked on the pavement along Salurner Straße in Kufstein on Saturday evening at approximately 17:50. A woman initially asked the man to leave the pavement. According to his own account, however, he continued riding to a nearby petrol station.

On the return journey, a car approached the 63-year-old. The driver of the vehicle reportedly asked him to stop. The cyclist continued on his way. At the level of Dr.-Karl-Erlacher-Straße, the car finally stopped, a man got out, pulled the 63-year-old off his bicycle and knocked him to the ground.

The assault did not end there. One of a total of four vehicle occupants allegedly struck the man lying on the ground in the face. Another occupant eventually intervened and demanded that those involved stop attacking the victim.

During the attack, the 63-year-old attempted to protect his face with his arms. As a result, he was subsequently unable to give the police a more detailed description of either the people involved or the vehicle. The identity of the assailants remains unclear.

Police are seeking witnesses who observed the incident or can provide information about the people involved or the vehicle.
