A woman with an entry ban drove to Styria shortly after her deportation. There she attacked a transport worker during a ticket inspection. A Graz court sentenced her to nine months' imprisonment.

A woman from Hungary had remained outside Austria for an extended period despite an official order. When police took her to the border, it did not take long before she was back on a train heading to Styria.
In the state capital, she boarded a bus without purchasing a ticket. During the subsequent inspection, the officers also detected a significant alcohol level. According to the charges, she struck a transport company employee with her fist. The public prosecutor therefore charged her with violent resistance against enforcement officers and attempted grievous bodily harm.
Before the competent criminal court in Graz, the defendant made a confession. She admitted to hitting the inspector and asked for forgiveness. The person affected accepted the apology.
The judges imposed a prison sentence of nine months, of which three were not suspended on probation. The presiding judge advised the convicted woman to stop alcohol consumption. Residence-related measures such as probation support or ordered therapy failed because the woman must leave Austria after her release. She assured the court that she would return directly to her home country after the sentence.
