In Pinzgau, police have apprehended a young man from neighbouring Germany. The 24-year-old is alleged to have dealt in illegal substances over an extended period. The estimated street value of the drugs seized is approximately 90,000 euros.
The investigations spanned several months, from November 2025 to April 2026. During this time, officers discovered that the suspect had smuggled at least four kilogrammes of amphetamine and a comparable quantity of marijuana across the border. He is also alleged to have persuaded another person to obtain narcotics from Germany and redistribute them in the region.
On the instructions of the Salzburg public prosecutor's office, the suspect was arrested and transferred to an Austrian correctional facility. The investigations also identified approximately 20 buyers. During questioning, these individuals largely made confessions and now face criminal prosecution.
