Electric Love Festival: Police seize drugs and take action against drone flights
The Electric Love Festival attracted approximately 143,000 guests. Throughout the event, representatives of the authorities and emergency organisations worked hand in hand with the organiser, as 5min.at reports.
Officers carried out almost 900 breath alcohol tests and around 120 drug screening tests. 78 traffic violations were reported. In the area of narcotics laws, the deployed forces filed 31 criminal charges. 431 persons and 85 cars were searched.
During the checks, police officers confiscated 14 grammes of cocaine, eleven grammes of marijuana, 13 grammes of ecstasy powder, three grammes of ketamine, five joints and a single ecstasy tablet. There were also a small number of charges related to assault and theft.
Eight private drone operators who controlled their devices above the festival area face charges. In isolated cases, participants expressed suspicion that they had been administered date rape drugs. However, no concrete evidence of the offence or health consequences were established. Given the large gathering of people, the operation leaders assessed the event as proceeding very smoothly.
