Former boxing promoter and well-known transgender personality Etchika Pollex has been the victim of a violent crime in her Vienna flat. Austrian authorities are treating the death as a homicide and have opened a murder investigation.
Pollex, who previously worked as a manager in the combat sports scene and became a public transgender figure, was attacked in her own home. During the investigation, a man has come into focus who lived under the same roof as the deceased.
Vienna investigators are working at full speed to clarify the circumstances of the act. No information could initially be provided about possible motives or the exact sequence of events.
