Woman (24) killed in Graz city centre – relative arrested
A 24-year-old woman has been killed in a flat in Graz city centre. A 23-year-old relative was arrested in the stairwell.

According to Google News AT – Crime (de), a violent act in a flat in Graz city centre ended fatally for a 24-year-old woman on Thursday. Emergency services received the call at approximately 12.40 p.m.
Emergency personnel responded immediately and found the severely injured woman in the flat. All attempts at help came too late – she died at the scene.
In the stairwell of the residential building, police officers encountered a 23-year-old suspect who stands in a close family relationship to the deceased. Officers from the Rapid Intervention Group (SIG) arrested him and took him to Graz Police Detention Centre. According to current investigative findings, the man apparently went to the 24-year-old's flat alone; she was also alone in the flat at that time.
The investigation was taken over by the Styrian State Criminal Investigation Office. Forensic specialists examined the flat to reconstruct the exact sequence of events.
There are currently no statements regarding the motive. Questioning of the 23-year-old and other persons is still pending.
