A Line 40 bus in Graz experienced an unusual delay on Sunday: police officers stopped the vehicle and led away a man carrying a knife.

On Sunday afternoon, a Line 40 bus was stopped by police on Wiener Straße in Graz. The officers boarded the vehicle and took a male passenger into custody. The arrested man complied without resistance.
Up to that point, the journey had been completely uneventful, according to a representative of Holding Graz. The transport company itself had not called in any police units. According to preliminary information, police were searching for the man in connection with an alleged threat involving a bladed weapon.
The officers confiscated the knife. The passenger had been carrying it on his trousers. He went quietly with them and was later questioned by authorities. The results of the interrogation have not yet been released.
