Fraud verdict against Ochsenknecht: €34,500 fine in Innsbruck

German actor and musician Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht was sentenced on Thursday at Innsbruck Regional Court in the retrial of his fraud case to a fine of €34,500. According to Kleine Zeitung, the 34-year-old had been accused of failing to pay a hotel bill of nearly €14,000 in Kirchberg, Tyrol, following a multi-day birthday celebration in 2021, over several years.

The verdict is not yet final. Neither the public prosecutor nor the defence made a statement following the approximately one-hour hearing in the Grand Jury Court. Ochsenknecht was not present at the hearing – he was not required to be, according to the court.

The judge stated that payments already made under a diversion procedure totalling €18,000 would be credited against the current sentence.

The proceedings had originally been concluded in a diversionary manner in August 2025 at Innsbruck Regional Court with a fine of €18,000, which Ochsenknecht paid in instalments. However, the Innsbruck Court of Appeal granted a complaint by the public prosecutor against this settlement, which led to the retrial of the case.

Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht is the son of acting legend Uwe Ochsenknecht and has recently also appeared as a reality television performer.
