A motorist was detained on Tuesday in Antwerp after attempting to throw away two bags of cash during a police check. The driver admitted that he had to transport the money "from one place to another".

In the Belgian port city of Antwerp, police pulled over a man in his vehicle on Tuesday. During the check, the driver attempted to dump two bags full of banknotes. Together, they contained an amount of just over seventy thousand euros.

Officers immediately intervened and arrested the man. During questioning, he explained that he was en route to transport the cash. He had to carry it from one address to another.
