The Liège courts delivered their verdict on Monday in a drug trafficking case. Several accused individuals have been punished for operating a drug production unit in a private residence located in Faimes, near Liège. The sentences range between five and seven years in custody.
The police operation that led to their arrest dates back to the summer of 2025. Officers had then uncovered an illegal structure used to extract cocaine. This processing unit was concealed beneath a maritime transport container installed on a concrete platform, as well as in the basement of the building. At the rear of the property, in converted former stables, a space dedicated to packaging the substance had been set up.
During searches, law enforcement seized approximately one hundred kilograms of product. This comprised around fifty packets of raw cocaine and an identical quantity in crystalline form. Weapons and an offensive grenade were also among the items seized.
Among those convicted are two men from Liège, aged 47 and 36, considered to be the masterminds of the operation. They each received seven years in prison. The lease holder, a 43-year-old man, received six years in custody. Two guards, tasked with monitoring the premises, received five years, with one portion suspended for one of them. Six Colombian nationals, assigned to drug preparation, were also sentenced to five years.
