Shooting in Marchienne-au-Pont: man wounded by gunfire, shooter at large

A shooting erupted shortly after midnight during the night of Sunday to Monday on the road to Mons in Marchienne-au-Pont, to the west of Charleroi, according to DHnet. A person travelling on a scooter is reported to have been the target of several gunshots, one of which struck them.
The GSA, Charleroi's local police, an ambulance and a SMUR responded to the scene. The victim was taken to intensive care at CHU Marie Curie. Police teams sealed off the area but failed to apprehend the shooter.
A prosecutor's expert and the forensic laboratory were dispatched to the scene. According to DHnet's information, this could be a settling of accounts between drug dealers, who are resorting to increasing violence.
