Liège police have arrested a young man born in 2003 who was carrying a significant quantity of drugs and a sum of cash in the area near Boverie park.

Around noon on Sunday, police officers spotted a driver in a car parked along rue du parc, near Boverie in Liège. When they attempted to stop him, the individual tried to evade the forces of order, first fleeing by car and then on foot after abandoning his vehicle.
The police officers eventually managed to overpower him and apprehend him. During the search, they recovered a package containing 135 grammes of heroin, as well as a bundle of notes totalling 1,180 euros.
The suspect, a young man born in 2003, was placed in provisional detention. The Liège court prosecution was seized of the case. The duty magistrate referred the file to the investigative phase, and the prosecution is considering requesting an arrest warrant from the competent investigating judge.
