On Wednesday early afternoon, around 3 p.m., law enforcement officers arrested an individual in the Liège district of Droixhe, on rue Jean-Mathieu Nisen. Officers had spotted a badly parked car. They then observed a pedestrian, apparently a drug user, approaching the vehicle and conducting an exchange with the driver.

During the search, police found small denomination banknotes, two mobile devices, and 38 cocaine pellets. The individual, who had no prior criminal record, rejected any involvement in trafficking. According to his account, he had simply borrowed the car to go shopping, claiming complete ignorance of what was inside. However, he refused to have his two mobile phones examined.

The Liège prosecutor's office received the case on Thursday morning.
