A police operation at a farm in Marquain uncovered undeclared motor vehicle repair activity. Around fifty vehicles and equipment were confiscated.

On 18 June, officers from the Tournaisian police zone, assisted by environmental colleagues, raided an agricultural property located in Marquain. This search operation led to the dismantling of a network of motor repair workshops operating without authorisation.
Officials discovered dozens of vehicles distributed inside and around several buildings. Some of the vehicles were reduced to the state of wrecks, whilst others appeared functional or on their way to being so after restoration work.
On site, law enforcement identified several spaces fitted out as garages, equipped with professional equipment. The property owner would have made these areas available to third parties in exchange for rental payments, according to information provided by the police zone.
Four people occupying the hangars were caught in flagrant breach of environmental standards. For one of these individuals, planning irregularities were added to the case file.
On the order of the Charleroi Public Prosecutor's Office, investigators confiscated around fifty motor vehicles, two motorised two-wheelers, a trailer, two handling machines and a hydraulic lift. Computer equipment was also removed. Three structures were sealed.
The investigation is continuing under the authority of the Investigation and Search Service of the Tournaisian zone.
