The Namur criminal court delivered its verdict on Friday 19 June 2026 in a drug trafficking case. Two defendants were tried for distributing drugs between January and July 2022, including to minors over the age of 16.
The investigation had started following the arrest of another member of the network. Examination of the telephone seized during this arrest allowed investigators to trace the two accused. La Dernière Heure reported these details.
According to the investigation, each accomplice had a specific role. One directed customers towards the sales point whilst the other handled the transactions and deliveries directly. The public prosecutor's office had called for three years' imprisonment for the main seller and thirty months for the one who attracted customers.
Mr Delhez, who represented the latter, had requested a suspended sentence or, failing that, community service. The judge ultimately opted for 120 hours of community service. In the event of non-compliance with this measure, a sentence of thirty months' imprisonment may be applied.
The second defendant, who was not present at trial, received 30 months in prison.
