A man born in 1996 was shot dead in Walcourt in the early hours of Wednesday. Two suspects have been arrested.

A man died from gunshot wounds in the early hours of Wednesday in Walcourt. Around 23:30, police officers spotted an unconscious individual next to his damaged van, which was blocking the road, during a patrol in the municipality. Initially, the forces of order suspected a traffic accident, but a witness immediately informed them that shots had been fired.
Police officers and emergency responders provided care to the victim, without success. The man, born in 1996, did not survive. The investigating magistrate and the public prosecutor visited the scene. A medical examiner, a ballistics specialist and an automotive expert were also dispatched to examine the scene. At present, two individuals have been placed in detention following their arrest.
