The remains of a 28-year-old woman, discovered on 28 August in a residence on Duivenmelkersstraat in Anderlecht, resulted from violent conduct. This is reported by vrt.be on the basis of confirmation from the Brussels prosecutor's office, which has opened a judicial investigation.
The police of the Brussels South zone (Anderlecht, Sint-Gillis and Vorst) received a report at approximately 9.40 hours of a possible death in the residence. Upon arrival, they found the woman's body, after which a judicial perimeter was established and emergency medical services were notified.
The prosecutor and investigating judge attended the scene. The federal police laboratory conducted forensic examination.
"A coroner was also appointed, who has confirmed that this is a suspicious death, caused by physical violence," said prosecutor's spokesperson Veerle Byloos. "The judicial investigation is ongoing to examine all the circumstances of the death."
