Bolivia expelled a foreign national on Saturday who was considered highly dangerous and allegedly linked to the First Capital Command (PCC), according to opinion.com.bo. The individual was handed over to Federal Police officers from Brazil in the border municipality of Puerto Suárez.
The official expulsion notification took place at 09:45 on Saturday 19 September at the Immigration offices in Puerto Suárez. The operation was carried out in a coordinated manner by the Bolivian Police and the General Directorate of Migration, as part of efforts against transnational organised crime.
The operation reflects bilateral cooperation between Bolivia and Brazil to strengthen control in the border zone and prevent individuals linked to criminal organisations from using Bolivian territory as a refuge or operational base.
With this measure, the Bolivian Government seeks to strengthen mechanisms of migration control and international coordination in response to networks engaged in transnational organised crime.
