Roma Case: over 10 million Bs in assets seized from former prosecutors and police

La Paz's Public Ministry confirmed on Monday that assets seized as part of the 'Roma case' exceed ten million bolivianos, according to El Deber. The investigation points to an alleged protection network that former prosecutors, former government authorities and police officers allegedly provided to Uruguayan drug trafficker Sebastián Marset.

Between 30 October and Monday 12 November, 11 joint operations were carried out by the police and the Public Ministry in La Paz, Sucre and Santa Cruz. The properties of former prosecutors Róger Mariaca and Alberto Zeballos accounted for the largest volume of assets and cash seized during the raids.
