Two-year sentence for Councillor Murillo for fatal hit-and-run in La Paz
Urgente.bo reports that the vice-president of La Paz's Municipal Council, Adriana Murillo, was sentenced to two years in prison for the offences of homicide, serious and very serious injuries in a traffic accident.
The judicial ruling declares Adriana Ligia Murillo de la Barra, with ID 4920710, "author and guilty of the crime of Homicide, Serious and Very Serious Injuries in a Traffic Accident, provided for and sanctioned under article 261 of the Penal Code".
The sentence orders Murillo to serve her sentence at the Obrajes Women's Orientation Centre, in the city of La Paz.
The events date back to 28 November 2022, when a 50-year-old man died after being hit by the councillor in the southern zone of La Paz.
