Two anti-drug operations in Santa Cruz yield 358 packs seized

The Special Force to Combat Drug Trafficking (Felcn) confiscated 358 packs of marijuana in the department of Santa Cruz during two separate operations, according to El Deber. The operations were carried out in Puerto Quijarro and in the town of La Angostura, Andrés Ibáñez province.

The first operation was conducted by officers of the Rural Patrol Mobile Unit (Umopar) of Puerto Quijarro, who inspected a parcel warehouse and found a cardboard box containing 12 packs with a suspicious substance. The field test returned a positive result for marijuana, so the substance was seized immediately. The reports do not specify who sent the parcel or who was supposed to receive it.

The second operation took place during patrols in La Angostura, where anti-drug agents intercepted a van considered suspicious. Following a search, uniformed officers found eight cardboard boxes and two light blue jute bags containing 346 packs with a greenish substance. The field test also confirmed marijuana. In addition to the drugs, police proceeded to seize the vehicle used for its transport.

Both operations are part of the interdiction work carried out by the Felcn in Santa Cruz. However, the available reports do not detail the total weight of the substance seized, the identity of possible suspects or whether any arrests were made in connection with either of the two cases.
