Prosecutor accuses Evo Morales and García Linera in Hotel Las Américas case
The Public Ministry admitted the prosecution motion against the former president and former vice-president. Prosecutor Urioste states that the case "warrants a trial of responsibilities".

Formal accusation against Evo and García Linera for murder, torture and unlawful detention
The Public Ministry admitted the prosecution motion filed against former president Evo Morales and former vice-president Álvaro García Linera in the Hotel Las Américas case, the Attorney General of the State, José Armando Urioste, reported on Monday, according to El Deber.
The charges include the alleged commission of the crimes of murder, assault and torture, and unlawful detention. The prosecution motion was filed by the Libre parliamentary caucus.
"We have admitted a prosecution motion against Evo Morales (...) and today you will see the press release of this entire situation at the Supreme Court", Urioste declared during a conference in Trinidad, Beni.
The attorney general maintained that the case "warrants a trial of responsibilities", thus marking the formal start of that procedural phase.
The General Prosecution notified the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) of the start of the phase of accumulation of precedents against both former officials. Urioste sent a memorandum to the judges of the Full Chamber of the TSJ to inform them of the start of the investigations.
In the document addressed to the TSJ, the prosecutor notes that the prosecution motion "enables this report of initiation by the Public Ministry for the trial of the President or President and/or Vice-President or Vice-President for the crimes committed in the exercise of their functions".
