A 35-year-old man died on Thursday night after being stabbed by his niece and her husband, according to reports from El Deber. The incident occurred near Villa Venezuela, close to Avenida Siglo XX and Guayacán, in the southern zone of Cochabamba.
The victim, a delivery worker at a delivery company, had gone to the area to inspect a house that had been left to him as an inheritance, where other family members reside. His presence triggered resentment that led to an argument with his niece and her husband.
During the altercation, the niece's husband entered the property, took a knife, and stabbed the man. The wounds proved fatal; the body lay on the public road, at the entrance to the house.
Police arrested the alleged perpetrator of the attack shortly after the incident and he is being held in police cells. No information was provided regarding the legal situation of the niece.
The victim leaves two minor children. His wife demanded justice and asked that those responsible for the crime be sent to prison.
